The 4-Bay e SATA Hot Swap RAID Drive Enclosure combines the versatility of hot-swap functionality with support for the fastest SATA drives in a seriously cool package.  This box is built for speed—data passes straight from drive to SATA host controller with no "bridge chip" to slow the transfer.  Compact design, but its small footprint will make a big impression—with its powerful built-in universal power supply and compact dimensions, it is a great solution for anyone looking to store large amounts of data in a little package.

This enclosure supports 3Gb/s drives and is backward compatible with 1.5Gb/s drives, so you’ll get maximum flexibility in choosing drives for years to come.  The four hot-swap drive trays offer great freedom of choice in building your storage solution—you won’t get locked into a specific configuration.  Start out with a single drive for simple data storage and then add additional ones as the need arises, or fill the enclosure with four drives up to 500GB each to create a monster 2 terabyte striped RAID array for uncompressed HD video capture and editing! Need even more storage space?  Pick up additional trays so you can add drives to your arsenal for daily backups or project management.

Designed with form and function in equal balance!  The drive trays have built-in locking levers that double as handles to make swapping drives easy, and the cable-less connections from drives to enclosure simplify setup and assure reliability over the long haul.  Air pulled into the enclosure through its holes and those in the tray handles cools the drives (even the bottom of each removable tray is perforated for air flow)—all designed to make a cooler running solution for increased reliability.
